Pre-Readers


In our pre-readers class, Ms. Joanna will be focusing on learning numbers through Bible stories, and ABC's through songs, puzzles, and coloring.  We also will learn Christian character traits of Love and Respect throughout our interactions and play!  Ms. Joanna also plans to have regular show and tell time each week so each child can have a moment to shines and practice sharing with the class. Children in this age group will also participate in Music Time with Mrs. Katy, Interactive Agriculture with Mrs. Emily & Mrs. Robin, Art with Mrs. Melissa and of course, playground time!

Beginning Readers

In our Beginning Readers class, Ms. Jill will be using the "Jesus Stories with Jolly" curriculum.  This curriculum was written and published by Ms. Jill herself.  It consists of a weekly bible story, letter of the day, math activity, coloring page, various activities including rhyming words, opposites, sequencing, seasons, the five senses, textures reasoning skills, drawing, and much more.  Children in this age group will also participate in Music Time with Mrs. Katy, Interactive Agriculture with Mrs. Emily & Mrs. Robin, Art with Mrs. Melissa and of course, playground time!

Music

 

Intro to Music Theory: This class is recommended for lower elementary, but open to all. We will explore rhythm & learn the basics of music theory. We will work towards mastering our rhythm through the use of hand bells and rhythm sticks.​
 

Apologetics


No Apologies for Faith (Apologetics) Classes for ages 7yrs- senior in highschool.  1 Peter 3:15 tells us to ...always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.  Can your faith stand up in a trail? Apologetics is a great tool for your faith defending toolbox!  In this class we will be learning about evidence supporting faith in Jesus Christ. 

Math

 

Objective: To ensure that every class is excited about learning math!!

Early Elementary: Basic single digit addition & subtraction, two digit with regrouping, and introduction to multiplication & division.

Upper Elementary: Simple multiplication & division with additional challenging problems. Fractions & decimals, introduction to Algebra concepts. (EX: order of operations & variables.)​
High School: Review of upper elementary concepts ensuring those are mastered before moving onto Pre-Algebraic concepts. (EX: Integers, exponents, variables, and order of operations.) Based on class progress, these concepts will increase in difficulty and complexity to ensure students are being challenged!

Art

​
In Art Class we will learn about different techniques and forms of art.  Students will do paintings using both watercolor and oil paint, sculptures, collage art and more.  We will have an art gallery on display at our end of the semester programs highlighting what the students have worked on and are most proud of. 

Interactive Agriculture  


An interactive agriculture-based learning program that provides opportunities for students to develop knowledge about local ecosystems, crops, livestock, and many other experiences within the agriculture community.  Students will learn the importance of eating healthy, where their food comes from, and will also get to experience some hands-on training from local farm families. 

Grandparent Story Time
​
During Grandparent Story time, volunteers will come into the classroom of the younger students and read and tell stories from their lives.
