Question #1 - What does DHC offer?

We have a Summer Session that begins mid June that is open to EVERYONE so you can meet potential fellow co-op members! Co-op classes officially begin the first Friday after Labor Day, and are held weekly from 10 am to 1 pm, for ages 2 to 18 years. We have amazing teachers that offer a variety of classes, from church history, to music, art, and math, to Apologetics, Interactive Agriculture, and I Love the U.S.A. We also have clubs, like Book club and Lego Club, that meet from 1 pm to 2 pm and 2pm to 3pm. In addition, we have a terrific line up of field trips, park play dates, and a monthly homeschooling gym/swim time at CCCC. See the PROGRAMS tab to learn more!

Question #2 - How do I join?

Read through our Statement of Faith and Policies in the FORMS tab to find out more about what we believe and how we operate.  Then when you're ready, click on the Pre-register Now tab at the top of the website. Our in-person parents’ meeting in August is your last chance to join!

Question #3 - What is the membership fee and what does it cover?

The membership fee is $50 per family and covers everything from participating in co-op classes to clubs and field trips. There is a supply fee of $10/per child.  Band, Art and some clubs may require additional charges.

Question #4 - What is required of me if I join?

DHC is parent-led and parent-taught! So if you have agreed to the Statement of Faith and have a class you'd love to teach, contact one of our board members! Since we are parent-led, we don't want everything resting on only a few shoulders. Therefore, one parent or guardian is required to be on site the entire time their child participates in co-op classes and activities, volunteering in whichever open position they have chosen when they registered.

Question #5 - Who teaches at DHC and who's in charge?

On the About Us tab you will meet all the board members and teachers of DHC and our founder, Melissa Sitz.

Question #6 - Is DHC associated with any specific church or specific belief system?

Though we are all Christians and meet at a church, we are not associated with any specific denomination. Read our Statement of Faith in the FORMS tab to find out more about what we believe.
